School Directory – Contact Information Due Friday

Dear Parents & Guardians,

All parents are reminded to confirm their subscription to the weekly school newsletter and to provide contact information to be included in the 2014-2015 Family Directory. The deadline for submitting information for the Directory is Friday, September 5th.

To complete this process, please select one of the links below by which new families can submit their information and returning families may either confirm or update their contact information.

NEW FAMILIES

1) Visit http://www.allsaintsvaschool.org/parents/newsletter-directory-listing/

2) Enter the primary email to be used for the directory listing.

3) Select “School Directory Listing” from the dropdown box.

4) Enter contact and student information.

4) Select the “Subscribe Now” button to confirm entry.

5) When you receive a confirmation email to confirm the listing, follow the steps in the email. If you do not receive the confirmation email, please check your spam folders. You can also add newsletter@allsaintsvaschool.org to your contacts or white list to insure the emails are not redirected to your spam folders.

6) If you make an error, you can visit http://www.allsaintsvaschool.org/parents/newsletter-directory-listing/manage-subscriptions/ and enter the primary email to edit your listing.

RETURNING FAMILIES

1) Visit http://www.allsaintsvaschool.org/parents/newsletter-directory-listing/manage-subscriptions/

2) Enter the primary email used last year for the directory listing and submit. This will generate a confirmation email which will provide information for confirming or updating your directory listing.

3) Review the “Additional Data” section. Select “No Changes for 2014/2015” if all contact information is correct (student information will be edited when directory data is verified by office staff) or “Returning Family w/ 2014/2015 Changes” if you make changes to the listing.

4) Select “Save Profile” to confirm the listing.

New Parent Coffee – Tuesday, Sept. 9th

All new parents are invited to enjoy “coffee with the principal” on Tuesday, September 9th beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the atrium of the Parish Activity Center (PAC). Following a brief presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion about our school community and its many programs. childcare services will be offered in the adjacent meeting room.

Plan to attend and meet other new families who have recently joined our community!

'Les Mis' on Key with Message of Mercy

One would expect no less from “Les Misérables,” the sweeping, sung-through musical set in 19th-century France and based on the novel by French poet, novelist and dramatist Victor Hugo. But this eight-time Tony Award-winning musical will not be on a Paris or London stage or under Broadway lights. For only the second time ever, “Les Mis” will be performed by an amateur theater company in Virginia. Our 2013-14 Virtues Program

Thank you to Mrs. Tuttle for creating this beautiful look back at our 2013-2014 Virtue Program including photos of all of this year’s award recipients. Established over a decade ago at All Saints, the purpose of the Virtues Program is to instill in each child a desire to practice virtues both at home and at school.

Although specific, structured lessons are presented on a regular basis, the core of the program is the recognition of the many “teachable moments” that arise each day. The goal is to make the practice of Catholic virtues not just another subject, but a way of life for each student.
