Earn Up to $400 in Tuition Credit

Many of our applicants initially hear about All Saints through a personal referral from a school family.  With this in mind, 11 years ago All Saints started a New Student Referral Program, through which current families receive a tuition credit of $200 for referring a new family to our school.  We are happy to announce that All Saints has given out $33,100 in tuition credits since starting the program in 2008.

Registration for new families for the 2020-2021 school year begins on November 15.  Now is a great time to spread the word about All Saints and to invite family and friends to visit our campus.

  • Open Houses:  November 14, January 9, and February 6 beginning at 9:00 AM.
  • Wednesday Walkthroughs:  9:00 AM and 1:30 PM every Wednesday
  • For general inquires or to schedule a tour, please contact admissions@allsaintsva.org or by phone at 703-393-1490

Next year your family could be one of the families to receive a tuition credit.  For more information about the program, please see the New Student Referral Program Form.

Thank you for choosing All Saints for your family and for sharing the good news of Catholic education!

Welcome the Pilgrim Virgin Statue Home

One of the beautiful traditions of our school is the Pilgrim Virgin Statue Program whereby families are invited to host one of two statues of Our Lady of Fatima in their home for one week. While the statue is in the home, families are encouraged to pray together part of or the entire Rosary for the intentions of our school as well as their own private intentions. The presence of the Pilgrim Virgin Statue is certain to increase your devotion to Mary and to bring you and your family closer to her Son.

Families who wish to participate in this program may sign up on Track It Forward. (https://www.trackitforward.com/site/935959/event/983843)

Pick up time for the Statues at the front office is before 2:30 PM on Friday (unless otherwise noted) with a return time of before 9:00 AM the following Friday. Please be sure to sign in and out for the Statue in the Visitor Binder at the front desk.

Should you have any questions or would like more information, please contact the Pilgrim Virgin Statue Rotation Coordinator, Mrs. Fuzzy Reynolds or call (703-368-4400).

All Saints Band Wins 2 Awards at Festival

Congratulations to members of the All Saints Band on their performance at the Music in the Parks Festival this past Friday at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. The All Saints Advanced Band performed in competition at Jamestown High School. The judges in the competition were professors from Virginia Commonwealth University and Old Dominion University.

As a result of their performance, the students attended an awards ceremony in Busch Gardens, where they were awarded two trophies: 1st Place in their Division and the Esprit de Corp Trophy, the “spirit of the festival” award. This award recognizes the participating organization that displays an exemplary attitude of positive support and outstanding personal behavior throughout the festival weekend.

Performance recap scores revealed that our band had been awarded the highest scores at the festival, 93/95 points from each judge. The students and chaperones then enjoyed fun time and lunch at Busch Gardens. Mr. Sokolowski and Mrs. Croson, two lead band parents, organized a wonderful band trip for our students.

Our band will be performing its Spring Concert tomorrow (Tuesday, May 14) at 2:00 and 7:00 PM in the Parish Activities Center. Come out and support our talented beginner and advanced bands. Our thanks to all of the chaperones for their assistance on the trip, and a special thanks to Mr. Barry Ward for his continued outstanding leadership of the All Saints Band Program.

Author of Cuthbert Book Visits All Saints

All Saints Catholic School was thrilled to welcome Laura Theissen, the author of the newly published book, “Cuthbert: The Eagle Who Found His Wings,” to All Saints Catholic School on Thursday, February 1st. This special author visit took place as part of our Catholic Schools Week celebration!

Mrs. Theissen, a former All Saints school parent, recently published this inspiring tale of a majestic American bald eagle who loves to swoop and fly above the clouds. Then one day, his life changes, and through adversity, he learns the power of God’s love and grace and what it really means to soar.

Those who love our All Saints Eagle mascot Cuthbert are sure to be engaged by this heartwarming story. Cuthbert has an extra special place in the hearts of the Theissen family. When the author’s son Lucas was in sixth grade at All Saints, he won a contest to name our eagle mascot. Lucas selected the name Cuthbert after learning about St. Cuthbert and his efforts to protect birds and wildlife. CSW Author Visit – Thursday, February 1st
Mrs. Theissen lead three book readings and author Q&A discussions in the All Saints Gym with students in Pre-Kindergarten to second grade, grades 3-5, and middle school.

As our online photo album can attest, Cuthbert spent the day at All Saints and was quite excited to be part of the publishing world!

Our Eagle Gets a Name!

Beginning last spring, there was a call to name the All Saints Eagle mascot.  After many votes, the tallies have been counted and our Eagle has a name!

Without further ado, we introduce the All Saints Eagle, Cuthbert! Our eagle’s namesake is Saint Cuthbert who was known for his successful effort to protect birds in his native Northumbria, now Scotland. His feast day is September 4th, so we will make sure to plan special activities around that day for our own Cuthbert.

St. Cuthbert also is often depicted with the symbol of an Eagle in artwork.  During this time of Covid-19, it is interesting that one of St. Cuthbert’s patronages is against epidemics.
