Office of Safe Environment and Victim Assistance (OSEVA)

Protegiendo a los Hijos de Dios

At All Saints Catholic School, the safety and protection of our children and youth are a top priority. In accordance with the Diocese of Arlington’s policies, clergy, employees, and adult volunteers who work with children must complete all required background checks and safe environment requirements.

The diocesan compliance process includes several steps, one of which is completing safe environment training through VIRTUS, including the Protecting God’s Children seminar. This training helps adults recognize the warning signs of abuse and understand their role in protecting children. Through awareness, vigilance, and collaboration, we strive to maintain a safe environment for all children and youth in our parish and school communities.

For detailed instructions on completing the Diocese of Arlington’s safe environment compliance process, please review the following information:

  1. A Message from the Child Protection Coordinator
  2. ASCS Adult Volunteer Checklist
  3. Volunteer Background Check Instructions
  4. Virtus Training Registration Instructions
  5. Virtus Transfer Information

Once your diocesan background check has been approved by the parish or school liaison, you will receive an email from opcysupport@arlingtondiocese.org with instructions for registering for a VIRTUS training session.

Please note: Individuals are not eligible to volunteer until all diocesan safe environment requirements have been completed, including the required VIRTUS training, and full compliance has been confirmed by the parish or school liaison.

Questions/Concerns
If you have any questions about the process, please contact Diana Neri, All Saints’ Coordinator of Child Protection, at virtus@allsaintsva.org. Let her know you wish to volunteer at All Saints Catholic School.
