We are pleased to announce that All Saints Catholic School and Leidos have formed a partnership in support of a robotics program for our middle school students. With generous funding provided by Leidos through Project Lead the Way, we are now well positioned to enrich our curriculum with a program designed to advance the study of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
As part of our emerging STEM initiative, all 7to and 8to grade students will participate in virtual robotics in the computer lab through a web-based program designed at Carnegie Mellon and purchased with proceeds from the Annual Fund. As students develop skills related to design and programming, those interested also have an opportunity to participate in Robotics Club, a hands-on after school activity.
We are confident that this new STEM program will foster greater interest in these fields of study and introduce our students to potential career paths for the 21erCentury. We are grateful for the generosity of Leidos and wish to thank for the organization and its employees for their commitment to education.
