The 20th Annual Race for Education pledge campaign is underway!

We are excited to announce that for the 20th year in a row, the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is hosting the Carrera por la Educación! As our largest fundraiser of the year, the proceeds from this event are crucial in helping to fund many PTO’s initiatives, including Classroom Startup Funds, field trip subsidies, fun family events, and special faculty recognitions. As in years past, 5% of all proceeds of this campaign will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, so your participation supports both our school and an incredible cause.

Event Information

Wednesday, April 30th, Back Parking Lot

Plenty of volunteering opportunities are available on Race Day, April 30th, for those who are VIRTUS certified. See Track It Forward for details and to sign up.

  • 8:45 AM – Pre-K | Kindergarten | 1st Grade | 2nd Grade
  • 10:15 AM – 3rd Grade | 4th Grade | 5th Grade
  • 1:15 PM – 6th Grade | 7th Grade | 8th Grade

FAQ

Who runs in this event?
All students will run or walk in this event as part of the school day. Grouped by grade level, students are are competing to complete the most laps in 45 minutes. Faculty and staff will often join in the fun and compete for laps among themselves as well.

Where do the students run?
Students run quarter-mile laps, starting in the back parking lot and turning around along the straightaway between the front office and church.

Do Pre-K students run?
Yes! There is a separate, smaller track for our Pre-K students, right in the middle of all of the fun, during the first race starting at 8:45am. They also have their laps counted for prizes.

What should my student wear?
Students should wear their P.E. tee shirt and shorts and sneakers of their choice (they do not need to wear their uniform shoes this day).

Can my family come to watch?
Yes! We love having spectators to encourage runners! Many families will even make a hand held sign for their student.

PledgeStar Directions for All Saints Families

We are excited to partner with the online fundraising platform, PledgeStar. PledgeStar keeps the process simple, making it much easier for you to request pledges from family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. It’s fun, it’s easy, and those who use it typically raise twice as much as those who don’t.

Each family will have their own fundraising webpage, whether you have one student, or several. You will even have the option of uploading a photo for a personal touch.

We have a great line-up of incentives ready to help keep the students motivated. Everything from prizes, classroom and individual recognitions, a dress-down day and even a special school-wide surprise are planned.

  2. Click Not Registered for This Year’s Event
  3. Enter YOUR name and email address and click Submit
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions for entering your student(s), yourself as the initial donor, and then your contacts
  5. Add a picture of your students to personalize
  6. Share your family page via email, text, social media, or even your customized print-out.
  7. You may also use the PledgeStar app on Apple or Android devices. If registering there first, enter Event Code Saints to register or log-in Community Fundraising/Social Media

Offline Donations

For those who prefer to donate offline, you can still make the pledge on PledgeStar and then select check for the payment option. PledgeStar will provide mailing instructions. Once we receive and process the check, sponsors will receive an email confirmation and students will receive credit.
