eLearning Underway

Updated 3/24/20

Dear Parents & Guardians,

I hope this message continues to find you and your families safe and well.

The shift to an entirely online learning program has required an extraordinary commitment on the part of our faculty & staff.  For the past couple of weeks, they have been engaged in advanced planning and collaboration that is enabling us to make this transition tomorrow.  With that said, as in any new venture, there will be lessons learned along the way and challenges that we will work together to resolve.  Know that we look forward to our partnership with you during this difficult time and want you to be assured of our continued commitment to the growth and learning of your children.  Most importantly, we hope to provide a high level of engagement with our students and families so that we maintain a strong sense of community and are able to support one another in our faith.

  • To further prepare for the transition, yesterday and today the faculty & staff participated in video-conferences to finalize our plan.  We will continue to meet virtually as a group each day at 9:00 AM for prayer and updates and again at 1:30 PM for a daily debriefing.
  • The teachers will be working from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday-Friday) during which time they will be available to respond to any parent questions that arise.
  • We have made one revision regarding our daily schedule.  Teachers will be sending an email to the parents of their homeroom class by 9:00 AM, one hour later than previously announced.  They will also be posting objectives, learning activities and assignments to Google Classroom or Class Pages by that time.As questions arise, I invite you to complete Send Us Your Questions form now available on our website.  We will respond to all questions via email and post those that we feel would be helpful to the community at large on our eLearning FAQ page.  These forms can both be found on the new eLearning section of our website.

In other news, I received notification that Flynn & O’Hara has temporarily suspended retail store operations for two weeks, effective March 16.  Their online store remains open with customer service support.

Again, we look forward to continuing the learning tomorrow.  As questions arise, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Take care.

In Christ,

David E. Conroy, Jr.
