Are you interested in helping the ASCS Parent Teacher Organization raise $20,000 for PTO initiatives that benefit our students, faculty and staff throughout the year? Additionally, 5% of all proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Race for Education is a jog-a-thon, which will involve our students walking and/or jogging around a designated area for forty-five minutes.
Our Race for Education will be held during the week of May 24, 2021.
“Kickoff” information about Race for Education will be sent home with each student on Thursday, April 29.
Virtual learners are encouraged to participate in our Race for Education as well. They will be invited to come to school on a designated day during the week of May 24, or they can participate at home (e.g., walking or jogging in their neighborhood or at a local park).
The success of Race for Education is based on sharing your child’s personal fundraising webpage address with potential sponsors by e-mail, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or by sending individuals a sponsor mailer.
Potential sponsors may be family members, relatives, close friends, and neighbors. Don’t forget to include relatives and friends that live out of town and may not normally be able to contribute to other PTO fundraising efforts.
Race for Education makes it easy for them to participate, as well. There are incentives and prizes to help promote the success of Race for Education, which encourage student & classroom participation (Homework Passes, Class Movie & Popcorn Parties, $25.00 Gift Cards, Ribbons, Popsicles, Schoolwide Dress Down Day, Chick-fil-A Lunch).
Race for Education is great fun for students, no hassle to parents, and will fully benefit our school’s educational program!
