Principal’s Message

This week I am pleased to share with you the exciting news that both Mrs. Doherty (1st Grade) and Mrs. Honkus (5th Grade) are expecting with due dates of April 14th and May 16th respectively.  We congratulate them both on this wonderful news and wish them every blessing as they continue to prepare for the birth of their babies.  Both wish to continue teaching, to the extent possible, up to their due dates and to return to All Saints after a period of maternity leave.  In the months ahead I will finalize the plans for the classrooms during the period that they will be away on maternity leave to ensure that the fine work they have begun will continue during their absence.  Again, congratulations Mrs. Doherty and Mrs. Honkus!

During the month of October the Religious Education department has released important information relative to the schedule of sacraments during the spring semester as well as the related steps of formation in the program.  Due to circumstances beyond our control, a conflict exists between one of the weekends designated for the 8th Grade Confirmation Retreat and the Diocesan Band Festival, both of which are scheduled for Saturday, March 31st.  As this is the case, 8th grade parents who have children in the band are encouraged to register for the 8th Grade Confirmation Retreat scheduled for the weekend prior, March 23-24, 2012.  The staff of the Religious Education Department is aware of the conflict and will make every effort to schedule our families for the first weekend retreat.  However, it is vitally important that those families who wish to register for this retreat submit their forms as soon as possible in order that they may receive this special consideration.
