Message from the Principal

Congratulations to the students in our second grade program who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time during the past two weeks.  Following a beautiful prayer service led by our pastor, Fr. Cilinski, each of the children encountered Christ in this special Sacrament of healing and grace.  Congratulations to all of the children and thank you Mrs. Cummings and Mrs. Gurley for preparing them so well.

Professional Development Day ~ No School on Friday

On Friday our teachers will be participating in a diocesan-wide day of professional development.  For this reason, there will be no classes or Extended Day Program on Friday, March 11^th.  The focus of the professional development day will be twofold: differentiation of instruction and further development of curriculum maps.

Statewide Tornado Drill

At the invitation of our governor, on Tuesday, March 15^th All Saints will participate in a statewide tornado drill at 9:45 a.m.  This drill will provide an opportunity for faculty, staff and students to practice our emergency response in the event of an unstable weather pattern.

Field Day Announced ~ June 2^nd

Field Day for Grades K-8 will take place on the grounds of Linton Hall School in Bristow on Thursday, June 2^nd.  Mark your calendars now for what promises to be a great day of activities and fellowship for our school families.

Carpool Safety Reminder

All parents and drivers are asked to refrain from cell phone use while operating vehicles on the property.  This will help to ensure the safety of students, parents and staff members who participate in the arrival and dismissal process.

VIRTUS Update Training Sessions

One of the diocesan requirements regarding the safe environment initiative is that of annual VIRTUS training.  Through attendance at the 30 minute video training, faculty, staff and volunteers alike are reminded of important practical measures that we can implement to maintain a safe environment.  Those who have not yet attended the VIRTUS update training this year are asked to do so during the spring semester.  While there is no need to register on-line for this session, for planning purposes please contact Mrs. Janet Smith, VIRTUS coordinator, to confirm your plans to attend. The VIRTUS update training will occur on the following date: Saturday, March 26^th (Meeting Room 1 @ 10:30 a.m.)

Calendar Change ~ ½ Day in May Rescheduled

The half day of school published in our calendar for Monday, May 9^th has been moved to Friday, May 6^th.  In light of the fact that a large number of students in grades 4-8 will be attending the Band Trip on May 6^th, from an instructional standpoint it makes good sense to move the half day to this date.  The EPSF Screening is still scheduled for Monday, May 9^th.  As such, there will be no Pre-K or Kindergarten classes on that day as previously announced.
