Message from the Principal
Four years ago All Saints Catholic School launched a tremendously successful fundraiser program, the Race for Education. Since its inception, the Race has generated approximately $180,000 in revenue for our school community. The funds donated to our school by family and friends from around the country have enabled us to purchase an ACTIV Board system for every homeroom, Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. The funds have also supported a variety of other initiatives, including special recognitions for the faculty, additional funding for the fine arts program, and a contribution to the Tuition Assistance Fund.
Preparations are now underway for the 5th Annual Race for Education which will be held on Thursday, May 6th. A full page flyer outlining the event will be distributed to all families next week. In advance of that communication I wish to share with you some of the highlights for this year.
As is now a tradition at All Saints, our community will again designate St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital as a beneficiary of our annual Race with the understanding that All Saints will forward 15% of the proceeds to their organization. The remaining funds from the 5th Annual Race for Education will be allocated for essential classroom materials, helping to offset expenses in the school budget.
Look for additional information, including the “Kick-Off Packet” next week. It all begins with a special assembly for students on Monday, March 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the gym.
Inclement Weather: Policy Reminder
In accordance with school policy, All Saints Catholic School will continue to follow the decision of Prince William County Schools in regards to delays and cancellations due to inclement weather.

Tuition Assistance Applications
Applications for tuition assistance for the 2010-2011 academic year are available in both English and Spanish at the front office. Again this year the Diocese of Arlington has contracted with FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Company. FACTS has established an on-line application process that can be initiated through the company website (www.factstuitionaid.com.) The deadline for first consideration, for which the majority of diocesan funds are allocated, is Monday, March 15th. Please note: The application must be received by FACTS, not postmarked, by this date. For more information about this program, please see the attached flyer.
Many of our current families learned about the value of an All Saints education through a personal reference from an existing school family. Again this year we would like to reward you for promoting the school to your family and friends! Through theNew Student Referral Program, your family can receive a $200.00 tuition credit for referring a new family to All Saints Catholic School. For more information about this program, please see the attached flyer. Help to spread the word about the success and tradition of All Saints Catholic School!
