The Sentinel – March 16, 2016

Principal’s Message Last Friday both Mrs. Campagna and I had the honor of reviewing and selecting the top three 6th grade artistic representations of Pi, the mathematical relationship that defines the correlation between the distance across a circle and the distance around a circle.  Using bright colors, clever turns of phrase, and mathematical humor, the students decorated paper plates in celebration of “Pi Day” which falls on March 14th.  We were both impressed with the students’ creativity and their obvious efforts in designing eye-catching projects. Congratulations to the following 6th grade students: Katy Jo McDermott (1st place) Lizzie Mangilit (2nd place) Jacob Collins (3rd place) Additionally, the students also showcased their memorization skills by reciting the … [Read more...]

The Sentinel – November 12, 2014

November 12, 2014 Principal’s Message On Saturday evening the PTO will host the annual Casino & Auction Night, a much beloved tradition in our community.  While the event has changed and evolved through the decades, the objective has remained the same – to provide an enjoyable evening of fellowship while raising funds to support the mission of our school. We gather in support of our commitment to excellence and we celebrate the fact that All Saints is a place where learning is integrated every day with the very best traditions of our Catholic faith. The proceeds from this year’s event will directly support the fine work of the Parent-Teacher Organization, benefitting the students, faculty and staff.  I remain grateful for the stellar commitment of the PTO leadership and thank them … [Read more...]

The Sentinel – October 22, 2014

October 22, 2014 Principal’s Message This year the Office of Catholic Schools revised the policy by which parents may request that their child not be included in any marketing materials created by the school, such as our website, photographs or recordings.  While Appendix N, Waiver Information/Right to Object continues to be the form used for this purpose, it now includes the following statement: If the form is not returned, we will assume that you prohibit such use. As the policy now requires that we receive a signed form in order for students to be included in publications, today we are sending home hard copies with each child.  Parents who wish for their son/daughter to be included need only complete the top of the form and sign/date the bottom.  Those who wish not to grant … [Read more...]

The Sentinel – October 15, 2014

October 15, 2014 Principal’s Message This week I would like to take a moment to provide you with a few updates regarding the Design for Excellence self-study project. One of our first tasks was that of reviewing and revising our Mission Statement.  After prayer, reflection and dialogue, the faculty determined that the following statement best communicates our mission, giving particular priority to faith formation and academic excellence while highlighting the charisms of our school. Centered in Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, All Saints Catholic School partners with families to integrate faith formation with academic excellence while focusing on the whole child in a safe, joyful, and welcoming community. I would also like to thank the many parents who completed the … [Read more...]
